In Mexico, approximately 10 women are killed every day – with every third one being killed solely because of her gender. Out of jealousy, anger, or simply because they are stronger. The perpetrators: mostly the partner, the ex-partner, or the partner of the mother. However, hardly any case is officially recognized as femicide, let alone solved – 93% of the crimes go unpunished.
