On his journey to Northeast India, filmmaker Samuel Häde immerses himself in the vibrant Holi festival, lives with a tribe where women hold the power, and explores the Hindu beliefs surrounding life, death and reincarnation in the sacred city of Varanasi. His journey eventually leads him to the remote region of Assam, where, with the help of local villagers, he sets out to build a bamboo raft to navigate one of the most powerful rivers on the Indian subcontinent—the Brahmaputra. Carrying no food or drinking water, he embarks on a week-long expedition into the unknown.
