Armin Meiwes became infamous as the "Cannibal of Rotenburg." In 2001, he killed a man and ate parts of his body after the victim had voluntarily offered himself through an online cannibalism forum. Reporter Samuel Häde grew up in Rotenburg and has known about the case since childhood. Now, he sets out to find out whether Meiwes was a tragic one-off or whether an active cannibalism scene still exists in Germany today. He contacts Meiwes, speaks with people who fantasize about being eaten, and even receives a so-called "meat contract," in which a potential victim supposedly gives up all of their rights. Are these fantasies merely extreme role-play, or can they become reality? Where does the desire to be eaten come from, and is there any way to help those who live with these urges?
