Armin Meiwes became infamous as the "Cannibal of Rotenburg." In 2001, he killed a man and later ate parts of his body after the victim had voluntarily offered himself through an online cannibalism forum.

Reporter Samuel Häde grew up in Rotenburg and has known about the case since childhood. Now, he wants to find out whether Meiwes was a tragic one-off or whether an active cannibalism scene still exists in Germany. He contacts Meiwes and gains disturbing insights from a forum member who fantasizes about being eaten. Samuel also comes across a recent murder case in Berlin in which investigators suspect a cannibalistic motive.

According to criminologist Petra Klages, as many as 2,000 people in Germany may live with cannibalistic urges. In online forums, they refer to themselves as "Longpigs" and "Chefs." Those who want to be eaten often no longer see themselves as human beings, but as meat—and openly offer themselves to others.

Is this merely an extreme form of role-play, or can these fantasies become reality? Samuel speaks with members of this hidden community and is even sent a so-called "meat contract," in which a potential victim supposedly waives all of their human rights. Do they really mean it? Where does the desire to be eaten come from, and is there any way to help people who live with these urges?
